Carved Arched Cherry Bowl

This hand-carved, arched black cherry bowl is an early work, dating from 1982. Dimensions are 19 x 5.5 x 4 in.

A very thin and light piece, it weighs about 15 oz. Hand-rubbed with Behlen's Salad Bowl finish and several coats of walnut oil. Note how age has darkened the wood to that rich cherry red.
